Commercial license

The server is AGPLv3. If you modify and run it over a network (even internally), AGPLv3 requires you to publish your modifications.

Voltius Business subscribers get an exception that waives that requirement for internal modifications. The full text is in COMMERCIAL_LICENSE.md.

Summary

While you hold an active Business subscription, you may:

  1. Modify the Voltius server source for internal business purposes.
  2. Deploy those modifications privately without triggering AGPLv3 copyleft.
  3. Keep modifications proprietary.

You may not:

  • Distribute, sublicense, or resell the modified software.
  • Remove copyright notices or AGPLv3 headers.
  • Imply endorsement via the Voltius name or logo.

What happens if I cancel?

The exception expires with the subscription. Any subsequent use or deployment falls back under plain AGPLv3 — publishing modifications would once again be required.
